In the “very last” paragraph on page 203 of her book, “Ek is die Begin en die Einde”, die verborge tydmeting van Openbaring, Dr Elana Janson asks and answers a very important question.
“Why then, if we know the season, is it (the second coming) going to be like a thief in the night?”
She says that her book ‘HOW NEAR ARMAGEDDON” published in 1999, set forth the time measurements of Revelation and hardly any one, took notice of it. She was hoping that her book in Afrikaans published in 2001, would be more convincing, because she believed that history itself would not do it, as everybody thinks that they are their own historian, and do their own interpretation of history, as they “think” fit.
“Their thinking is from the viewpoint of mankind (of the earth) as most have already been DECEIVED by the BEAST.
Mankind is waiting in vain for “frightening signs” to happen, which are NOT going to happen, as they are NOT INTERESTED IN TRYING TO UNDERSTAND, the symbolism and time measurements of REVELATION.”
She says “that the nations are preparing for war, possibly to be encouraged by the conflict in JERUSALEM. The END TIME can be upon us at any time. ARMAGEDDON can start, and mankind won’t even know that it is the beginning of the end time”.
This all said and written by her in 2001.
That is WHY it will be like a “thief in the night” – due to a lack of interest to understand.
I believe that the “concealed or hidden time measurements” ( verborge tydmeting ) of Revelation are no longer concealed.
These have been fully explained by Dr. Janson in all of her three books, and in many of her own articles posted on this website’s forum.
MORE THAN ADEQUATELY EXPLAINED.
If we are taken by surprise, we have only ourselves to blame.
The second coming of Christ will be “near” when mankind UNDERSTANDS Revelation.
(Quoted from Pg. 1 of her 2001 book) This has already happened -
mankind (NOT the whole of mankind) understanding REVELATION.
It’s a pity that this REALLY GOOD, eye opening, Afrikaans book is out of print and no longer available to the public.
Right now what we all need to do is to “read” and “hear” what is available, in English or Afrikaans, and spend more of the “limited time” left to us, trying to understand these things in a deeper way.
REVELATION – is an “amazing” and awe inspiring “living book” :
“1. The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John,
2. who testifies to everything he saw - that is, the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
3. Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.”
