What does the following mean in relationship to the book of Revelation.
A recent email received from David Servant of Heaven’s Family:
Dear Friends,
You are no doubt aware of the recent insurgency of ISIS terrorists across northern Syria and Iraq.
You've probably heard about their barbaric crimes, committed against Christians, Shia Muslims, moderate Sunni Muslims, and other minorities, all of whom they've vowed to drive out or annihilate. Their goal is a Sunni Islamic State under the rule of Sharia law.
There are reports of mass executions and severed heads affixed to poles in conquered villages and towns. An Iraqi government minister reported last week that ISIS militants slaughtered 500 Yezidis (an ancient Iraqi minority group), including women and children, and buried some alive.
When the ISIS took control of Mosul, Iraq's second largest city, Christians were told to either convert, pay a $10,000 tax, or be killed. They were given 48 hours. All fled.
Almost 2,000 years of continual Christian presence in Mosul came to an end on July 19.
ISIS forces are now advancing into Kurdish territory in northern Iraq, and the U.S. has begun limited airstrikes against their convoys.
An influx of hundreds of thousands of refugees have converged onto the Kurdish capital of Erbil, a city of one million, just 56 miles from Mosul.
Heaven's Family is connected with two ministries that are serving refugees in that region, providing basic necessities, such as water, food, and shelter, in their time of great need.
One of those ministries, headed by a missionary couple, has 1,000 Christian refugees at their doorstep whom they are serving. We're also connected with two devoted Iraqi pastors who are also working to serve fellow believers who have fled for their lives.
One of them has 35 families now living inside his church.
