Are we witnessing the Fall of Babylon?
World trade
We have reached that point in time that the priorities of the nations are global trade relations, riches and the consequences of the powers of anti-Christ that were revealed in ‘the beast coming up out of the sea’ and “the beast coming up out of the earth” in Revelation, that I have described on this website.
The book Revelation is the revelation of the risen Jesus Christ, given unto Him by God (Rev 1:1). Therefore, it is a revelation of how God has directed the nations since the Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus Christ and how God knew how the nations would gradually through the years turn away and undermine the Faith. God will spare those that in the end time adhere to the Faith. I believe it is for them that the book Revelation has been closed to this point in time, and is now opened. Revelation reveals what is happening on earth so that the Faithful will not be filled with despair.
Travel
So, what has happened in the last some three months is that the corona virus hit China, which is in the East, and slowly but surely, the plague has progressed Westward mainly as the result of the way people travel across the globe in 2020.
Run to and fro
Here I must draw readers’ attention to the words of Daniel 12:4 “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.”
Amazing even in the prophecy of Daniel it was foretold that the movement of the peoples of the earth would in the end time be a factor. And, of course, also a factor, to what degree man would increase his knowledge. It has now happened that this movement of the citizens of the earth have spread corona virus to all the nations and the uncertainty of supply and demand has totally spooked the markets of the globe and losses now run into trillions.
Are we in the time of the Fall of
Babylon” as described in Revelation, chapter 18?
Babylon
I believe that “Babylon” is the word Revelation uses for the entire trading world of the globe at the present time.
In the book Revelation the spread of the testimony of Jesus Christ is revealed in Revelation, chapter 12, as the “’woman”. In Revelation, chapter 17, it is described how over the centuries a different “woman” emerges, one who sits upon a scarlet coloured beast (Rev 17:3). In Rev 17:18 it is said “And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reignth over the kings of the earth.
In other words, Revelation predicts that ultimately world trade is the main priority of the nations, it is driven by what has been described on this website ‘’as the beast coming up out of the sea” and “the beast coming up out of the earth” and has overtaken the power of the rulers of the earth. For this reason, the symbol of the woman sitting on the scarlet coloured beast.
We cannot ignore the signs in the stars in 2016 and 2017.
We cannot ignore the fact that covid-19 is now a pandemic and that the fall of the world markets has come after the signs in the heavens in 2016 and 2017. Because it was made known to me that we are near the end time, I believe that either of these signs in the stars could be the sign of Matthew 24:30.

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
We cannot know how long this time of mourning will be before we see the Return.
These signs were the Venus-Jupiter conjunction of 27 August 2016 (a Venus-Jupiter conjunction was possibly the sign in the skies – the star of Bethlehem - at the time of the birth of Jesus Christ) and the sign of the ‘woman’ that relates to the words of Revelation 12:1 that appeared in the skies of 23 September 2017. Since these signs there have been devastating windstorms across the globe, great fires have burned in the Arctic regions of Northern Europe and Asia, Australia, California in the US and the central regions of South America. And now we have plague and the fall of the markets of the globe.
All these happenings have caused deaths and caused the nations to mourn.
Revelation 18
Revelation 18:8 uses the plural “plagues”. We cannot know if the plagues of earlier in this century are included or if we are going to witness further pandemics. What is astounding is that Revelation explicitly says how quickly great riches are going to be wiped out. Even at the end of the first century AD, when John saw the visions on Patmos, God already knew the time and the rapidity of the fall of the world markets in 2020.

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
These words could apply to the present situation. Through the internet and modern technology, the traders at sea can witness the fall of the markets. Now ships have been instructed to stop sailing long distances because of the fear of the corona plague.
The plague of corona virus has hit the nations quickly
This too is predicted in Revelation.
Revelation 18:8-10 King James Version (KJV)
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
It is significant that Revelation connects the fall of Babylon with plagues because that is what we are witnessing at the present time.
For the present
The nations of the globe are at the present time living with much an anxiety as a result of the corona virus and the fall of the world markets. We can only fully understand Revelation when further signs are revealed to us in the time to come.
We pray for the comfort of God Almighty for those who mourn and will mourn the death of loved ones at the present time and the time to come.
