August 2006 – The cease-fire in the Middle East, typhoon Saomai and the city of Tyre.
The cease-fire in Israel and Lebanon
I believe that in the understanding of the time measures of Revelation and all that has been said on this website, that it is of the greatest significance that war actually took place in northern Israel and southern Lebanon. There is now a cease-fire, but this cessation of hostilities has brought about the involvement of the entire international community through the United Nations to preserve the peace. This situation may prove to be extremely difficult in the time to come. I say this in the light of the total understanding of Revelation and in particular Rev 16:16 and 6:15 -17.
[Note the words “kings of the earth” in Rev 6:15 and 19:19 that mean the rulers that have been deceived by the influence of the “beast out of the earth”.]
Rev 16:16 “And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon”. The nations are at this time gathering in the vicinity of Israel – they are ultimately going to gather in the area of Armageddon. It is through the total understanding of Revelation that it is revealed that the nations of the globe will be involved in the final “gathering”.
The word “gather” also appears in Rev 19:19 “And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army”. (The symbol of the rider on the white horse that wears the crown represents the intervention of the Trinity in the history of the nations to put in place a Christian ruling of the nations.) Through the total understanding of Revelation this verse means that the ‘gathering’ takes place at the time that the unity of the Christian church and the Christian states has finally been severed (the destruction of the unity of the Christian king and state is symbolized by “the beast” out of the sea in Revelation), even to the ends of the earth. That is, the time that all the Christian kings have been replaced by a rule of men (“kings of the earth”). We will know the time of the gathering for it is the time that the nations will wage war against the concept or belief that God requires the nations to believe in him in all their activities - this includes the ruling of the nations – that is government - (this is revealed through the symbol “him that sat on the horse, and against his army”; that refers back the rider on the white horse – Rev 6:2 and 19:11).
Rev 6:15 -17 “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath has come: and who shall be able to stand?”
The length and breadth of the New Jerusalem are equal.
The “New Jerusalem” is symbolic of the life to come, but is also symbolic of the time of approx. two thousand years from the coming of Jesus Christ till the present time. Those who lived in that time and accepted Jesus Christ as the Messiah and followed his teachings will enter the New Jerusalem. With the knowledge that the time measures of Revelation relate to the time of the coming of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, that was, approx 7 to 4 BC, and the time 2004 to 2007 (this was established through the total understanding of the symbolism of Revelation inspired by the Divine intervention) it cannot be far off that there is going to be a realization by the ‘men’ that have in the twenty-first century become the leaders of the nations that a situation has been reached that reveals that the Return is at hand.
Rule of great and mighty men
Those who have studied my books and this website will know that the words “And the kings of the earth, and the great men and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man” symbolize the transition from the rule of kings to the rule of men and the end of the second millennium after the coming of the Christ.
Jerusalem
This realization is linked to the city of Jerusalem. We know this through the words “And said to the mountains…. fall on us”, that also appear in Luke 23:30.
Typhoon Saomai
Typhoon Saomai (August 2006) was the strongest typhoon to hit China in half a century. This is significant in the understanding that the “four angels standing on the four corners of the earth holding the four winds of the earth” (Rev 7:1) have according to my understanding at this point in time been “loosed” (Rev 9:15 “And the four angels were loosed”).
The city of Tyre (also Tyrus in Ezekiel)
It should be noted that in the war the city of Tyre came under fire. I say this for the words of the fall of Babylon in Revelation which are ultimately symbols of the fall of the nations in the end time relate to the city of Tyre.
Tyre was in history a flourishing wealthy city on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Because of its trade it was for many centuries a very wealthy city and able to recover from attacks. Because the trade routes of the nations expanded globally Tyre is relatively a small city today.
It seems that Revelation uses symbols from the old city of Tyre, because like Tyre of old, the nations of the globe are wealthy through trade, but will reach a point that trade can no longer get them out of difficulty.
The words of Revelation 18:17 “Every shipmaster and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea” relate to Ezekiel, chapters 26, 27 and 28 which are of the fall of Tyre and its importance in sea trade. Ezekiel 26:17 “How are thou destroyed, that was inhabited by seafaring men, the renowned city, which was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause her terror to be on all that haunt it.”
Rev 18:18 “What city is like unto this great city”. [Note the use of the word “great” that through the understanding of Revelation 16:18-21 (the word “great” is used seven times) relates to the last time measure of Revelation - the one that we cannot measure.] Ezekiel 27:32 “What city is like Tyrus like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?” Ezekiel 28:18 “Therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee”.
Trading goods are mentioned in Revelation 18:12 and 13 and also in Ezekiel 27 that deals with the sea trade of Tyre. Of significance are the words of Rev 18:13 “souls of men”. In Ezekiel 27:13 it is said “They traded the persons of men”. In Ezekiel “persons of men” refer to the slave trade, but also I believe the effect of trade and slave trade on the souls (“persons”) of men. With the understanding of the time measures of Revelation I believe that in 2006 the words “souls of men” in Revelation also have the meaning that when the nations are finally totally preoccupied with trade and they place trade above the truths of Scripture, the fall of the nations will be about what has happened to the ‘souls of men’.
