Revelation written for now (2)

(Have the book Revelation at hand to look up the verses and to familiarise yourself with the words of the chapters.)

Revelation 9:15 King James Version (KJV)

15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
2020

I explained in my previous posts how Revelation has brought the time of “an hour” and “a month” together in the year 2020.

I am now going to explain why Revelation reveals in Rev 9:15 that in 2020 we are also going to be aware of the measure of “a day” and “a year”.
The measuring of the “temple” in Revelation relates to “a day”.

Revelation 11:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Measure the temple of God

According to my understanding the measure of “temple” is from the time of the birth of Jesus Christ up to the time 2004. After 2004 there is a time span that Revelation indicates must not be measured (‘’But the court which is without (outer court) the temple leave out”).
Outer court

In 2020 this proves to be correct. The time measure of “forty and two months” is measured from 27 August 2016 (the Venus-Jupiter conjunction) to 27 February 2020 (the fall of the world markets). There is a space of time from 2004 to 27 August 2016 that must not be measured. This space of time was given to the Gentiles. After 2004 Revelation reveals the “holy city” was trampled “under foot”. In the total understanding of Revelation, the forces of Satan were so at work on the minds of men that the nations just no longer lived with the inheritance of everlasting life in mind.

The full measure of “temple”

After the “forty and two months”, the two time measures of “days” in Revelation still have to play out. The two time measures of “days” are “three days and a half” (Rev 11:9 and 11) and “a thousand, two hundred and threescore days” (1260 days).

Note

The “three days and a half” is measured over approximately the whole second millennium, AD 1000 – 2000, and with the total outer court (of the temple) that extends beyond 2020, the time measure of “temple’’ comes to an end. It seems that this is indicated as the time of the Rapture because Rev 11:11 says “And after three days and a half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood up on their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.”

AD 996 - 2004

The “three days” (each 288 years) of the second millennium are measured from AD 996 (according to our calendar, Christ was born 4BC; so, 996 is a thousand years after the coming of the Christ) to 1860. From 1860 to 2004 is 144 years which is “half” a “day”.

Revelation connects the “temple” of earth to the “temple” of heaven
Later in Revelation, through the repetition of the word “temple”, the earth “temple” is connected to the temple in heaven.

Revelation 15:8 King James Version (KJV)

8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

What is said in the casting of the seven bowls of vile in Chapters 15 and 16 of Revelation all have to play out. Until that happens “no man” will be able to enter the temple. In this verse Revelation connects the earthly temple to the temple of heaven.

The measure of a “year”

The analysis of Rev 13:13-18 revealed ”the beast coming up out of the earth”, through connecting the words of the verses to years in world history. This understanding of the Revelation of the “beast coming up out of the earth” reveals that a “year” in Revelation is a year as we know it to be.

144

Revelation connects the 144 years of the measure of the ”temple” in the history of the world(1860 to 2004) to the “wall” of the holy city (Rev 21:17) through the number “144”.
“144 cubits according to the measure of a man”

Revelation 21:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 ‘’And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.’’

Rev 13:18 “number of a man”

Because the angel reveals that a “cubit” is “according to the measure of a man” in Rev 21:17, and we also know that the measure of “a man” is a “year” from Rev 13:18 “number of a man” we know that the measure of “year” is as we know it to be.

Why does Revelation do this?

Revelation reveals that even in the time since 1860, when man was being misled by the forces revealed in Revelation, there are symbolically twelve gates through the wall of the New Jerusalem through which believers can enter the New Jerusalem. (Remember the rider on the pale horse, followed by death and Hell, symbolically rides from 1947.)

Revelation ultimately confirms through its measures that the “temple” of the earth, the Church, is eventually the foundations of the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 21:12-17 King James Version
(KJV)

12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

Plagues come in one day

Rev 18:8 Revelation 18:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

At the time of the 2020 plague we are living

The word “day” in this verse from the Fall of the Great City can indicate either in the “day” of the “three days and a half” measured in the second millennium and beyond, or a day as we know it in the measure “a thousand two hundred and threescore days” in Rev 11:3.

The year 2020

It seems therefore that at this point in time we are living all the time measures mentioned in Rev 9:15, but the nations are still gathering to Armageddon.

Revelation 9:15 King James Version
(KJV)

15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.

Rev 9:15 seems to cover the time from the wars at the Euphrates in 2003 and beyond, it reveals the time that we shall understand the time measures of Revelation in 2020, at the time that the Great City falls. It prepares the nations for Armageddon because “day” also relates to Armageddon

Revelation 6:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
Revelation 16:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
