The midst of heaven
(Have the book Revelation at hand)
(Once again, I must add, that time and happenings since 1996 have, I believe, brought greater understanding.)
(Note the great significance of the opening verse of this section. In the understanding of the total Revelation, first verses are crucial in what follows. You will notice this in all my posts to follow.)
Revelation 8 King James Version (KJV)
Rev 8:1 “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.”
The seventh seal is opened in 2020.
We now know the time of “half an hour”. It is a period (a short or little season) of twelve years between 1996 and 2020.
(Take note of the words “silence in heaven” the reason for this is that Revelation is going to connect what is happening in heaven to what is taking place on earth in the final chapters of Revelation. The word “silence” signifies not only ordinary silence and refraining from speaking; but, also ruin or destruction (Isaiah 15:1). Those in heaven now realise that the wrath of God is to come about.)
Rev 8:2 I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
Another angel
Rev 8:3 “And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.”
Because an earthquake is mentioned, this is one of the large earthquakes in 2008.

This is a very important verse because it reveals that the angel with the censer is prepared in the time of the “half an hour”.
The sounding of the first four trumpets
6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
2020 gives greater insight into the sounding of the trumpets.
The first four angels have at this point in time started sounding, because Revelation says that they were “prepared” (Rev 8:6) and they continue to sound. How do we know this? They continue to sound because of what is related in the words of the sounding of the first four trumpets later in the chapter. This is revealed through the “third part”.
“Prepared”
Revelation indicates the reason why the trumpets have to sound. Therefore, the verses go back in history and to what is revealed in Revelation.
The sounding of the first trumpet
Rev 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”

It is important to remember that certain verses and chapters in Revelation indicate activity of the forces that have a detrimental effect on the faith. This is apparent in the sounding of the first trumpet through the words “hail and fire”. These words taken to Ezekiel 38:22, “war” and “Gog and Magog” (Rev 20:8) are indicated.
Revelation indicates thirds of time on earth.
Therefore, this angel sounds from the time of “earth” that is the time linked to “the beast coming up out of the earth” (Rev 13:13-18). The sounding of the first trumpet indicates, firstly, the entire earth, and secondly all the wars from 1932 (the last year of the “six hundred, threescore and six” (Rev 13:18) to the time of Armageddon. In that time span a third of trees of the earth would be destroyed and spiritually ultimately “all green grass”; there would not be a generation to carry on the message of the cross.
Third part
The concept of the words, “third part” must be understood.
Revelation informs why!
“Third part” can only be fully understood taking all the positions of words relating to “third part” into account. “Third part” relates to the time 2008 to 2020. This is also the time that the trumpets are sounded, but Revelation also informs why these trumpets are sounding.
Spiritual and figurative division indicated.
In addition (because Revelation says “all green grass” - which is spiritual- “third part” can also relate to the very last measure “a thousand two hundred and threescore days” Rev 11:3”). See Rev 16:19 There is a final division of the great city into three parts. This will become clearer as we progress.
The second angel sounds his trumpet
Rev 8:8 “And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.”
These verses indicate the dividing of the “sea” into three parts. “Sea” relates to the seas of the globe, but also the “beast coming up out of the sea”. This angel was prepared from the time 1883, the time of the Krakatoa eruption. Revelation therefore indicates the Far East. The mountain is Krakatoa and all the wars (blood) that were fought in the time of the spreading of both Christianity and secular rule to the Far East. Also, the effects of man’s activity on the oceans of the world.
Third part (relating to the present time)
Verse 9 reveals the destruction caused by the effect of the “beast coming up out of the sea” in the spreading of the faith as well as the effects of man’s activity on global warming (“creatures which were in the sea and had life, died”).
The third angel sounds his trumpet
Rev 8:10 “And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;”
The great star that fell seems to be the meteor that fell in on 30 June1908, in Russia in the midpoint of that year. I say this because the words ‘a star fell from heaven’ are repeated in Rev 9:1.
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. Wormwood also means Chernobyl. This verse seems to indicate man’s activity on the rivers and waters of the earth. Spiritually the detrimental effect of man’s activities and knowledge on the dependence of the nations on their faith.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
2008

It is interesting that in the year 2008 -2009 the solar minimum was the deepest since 1913. 2008 was also the year of a total lunar eclipse on February 21 (“third part of the moon.”)
The fourth angel indicates the spiritual darkness that comes upon the world 2020. How do I know this? It is indicated in the words “the day shone not for a part of it”. The measure of a “day” is 288 years. A third of a day is 96 years. Measured back from 2004, brings one to the time 1908.
Revelation is also indicating that the nations no longer looked to the heavens in spiritual terms, but more scientifically as time progressed to the twenty-first century.
The midst of heaven
Rev 8:13 “And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!”
It seems that the words “the midst” meaning ‘in the middle’ now reveal and confirm words, time and time measures.
In the above verse Revelation indicates in the words “in the midst of heaven” that a midpoint of time measure is going to be revealed by the sounding of the trumpets. We now know that it is the midpoint of “one hour’’, 1996 to 2020.
