Revelation 11 King James Version (KJV)
(Revelation, chapter 11, is also part of the sounding of the sixth trumpet because it’s full meaning is revealed in the time from about the time AD 2000 to the end of days.)
Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
I have explained the measuring of the temple and the altar in recent posts. The temple is measured in two periods of “three days and a half” (Rev 11:9 and 11) in each millennium. 4BC to AD 1004 and 996 to 2004. Readers should refer back to the whole explanation. The altar is measured from 2008 to 2020. The altar measurement is significant because it could only be measured once the “forty and two months” from 27 August 2016 to 27 February 2020 and the “one hour” in Revelation could finally be established in 2020.
The shortening of days
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
Shortened by 8 years.
We can now understand why the outer court of the temple must not be measured. One measures up to 2004, but then the temple is not measured beyond that. In the time after 2004 non-believers would trample the belief that God requires them to live to inherit everlasting life. The “holy city” is the holy city of Rev 21:2. When the time of “one hour” was revealed in 2020, I realised that the “one hour” is measured from the time 1996, which indicated that the time of “days” was shortened. This includes both the “three days and a half”’ (Rev 11:9 and 11) in the two millennia, as well as the “a thousand two hundred and threescore days” (Rev 11:3). Each of these times have been moved back eight years.
And them that worship therein
In the time that one can measure the temple, the numbers of the worshippers would have dwindled in many churches. It would also be the time that worshippers would be killed within churches.
1260 days.
Rev 11:3 “And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.”
This is a remarkable Revelation at this point in time. Christians have now been given inner power because we can know that the book Revelation has been opened and that the Second Coming is near. However, not many are going to realise this and will still treat Christians with disregard (“clothed in sackcloth”).
“Two witnesses” include all who went out to preach the Gospel
Revelation reveals that Christian witnesses have through the millennia had power through their faith in the Creator.
Rev 11:4 “These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.”
Christians would be killed in the “short season”
Rev 11:7 “And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.”
Sodom and Egypt
Through the words Sodom and Egypt, God reveals that in the time of the fall of the great city the time has come to take his people out. In the time of the fall of the great city, there would no longer be respect for the teaching of the Christ. Mankind will believe that they can break God’s law in the name of freedom.
The great city
Rev 11:8 “And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.”
Forty and two months
We can now understand why Revelation mentions the “great city” here. It is because the time measure of “forty and two months” comes to an end (27 February 2020) in the time of the fall of the great city.
After three days and a half
Rev 11:11 “And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.”
The Rapture
Verse 11 reveals that the rapture is going to be at the end of the “three days and a half”. One can calculate “one thousand, two hundred and threescore days” after 27 February 2020 (the end of the “forty and two months”). It can be at any time from now on because the “three days and a half” measured in the two millennia since the coming of the Christ has already passed and we do not measure the outer court!
Rev 11:12 “And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.”
After the Rapture a great earthquake.
Rev 11:13 “And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.”
14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.’’
The third woe
15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
The Rapture
Because Rev.11:15 says “the seventh angel sounded” and Rev 10:7 says “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants and prophets.”, the seventh angel sounds his trumpet in the time of “days”. It seems as if Revelation is confirming that the Rapture is in the “one thousand two hundred and threescore days”. Keep your clothes with you, it is going to be suddenly, as a thief (Rev 16:17)
In heaven
Rev 11:16 “And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.”
Heaven a reality
These words remind us that heaven is a reality. He knew that in the twenty-first century mankind would struggle to believe in a reality of life after death.
In the following chapters God is going to constantly connect what is happening in heaven to what is taking place on earth.
Rev 11:18 “’And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.’’
End of global warming
So, God Himself, is going to bring an end to global warming.
Rev 11:19 “And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
The power of God
By the power of God heaven is going to open. Mankind will once again witness as in Scripture, that God has power over life and death (“the ark of his testament”).
Great hail
The words “great hail” used here indicates that this is the same time as Rev 16:21, the time of “the plague of hail”.
Understand the greatness of God.
God has always been directing the nations. He knows who is going to enter the kingdom of heaven. You are free to choose how to live.
