To the Church of “"Laodicea"”
In the seventh letter from Christ to the seven Churches, He tells the Church of Laodicea:
Revelation 3 : 14-17
14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.
15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!
16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.”
We may think that we live in this seventh age (or last age) of the seven Churches of Revelation,
the one for which these “Words of Christ”, were intended as prophesy.
There is an old Christian prayer that says:
“Deliver me, O Lord, when I draw near to you,
from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind,
so that with steadfast thoughts and kindled affections,
I may worship You in Spirit and in Truth.”
