Time, times and half a time
Because of the significance of being able, at this point in time to connect, through the words of Rev.10:5 “lifted up his hand to heaven”, to Daniel 12:7 “held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven”, through the time measures of Rev. 11:3 and Daniel 12:11-12, and happenings in the Middle East, the words “a time, times and half a time” must be considered.
A time, times and half a time
These words appear in Daniel 12:7
“And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times and half a time; when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.”
An appointed time
The significance of the words “time, times and half a time” is that these words indicate a specific time appointed by Almighty God. In Daniel 12:7 it is the end time.
The book Revelation
As I have often said on this Forum, the book, Revelation has its own chronology. This chronology is revealed through the placement and repetition of words. Placement of words in Scripture and also in Revelation itself. The words “time, times and half a time” appears in Revelation 12:14. In Rev.12:14 Revelation is also indicating the end time.
Rev.12:12-14
12 “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.”
According to my understanding, the above three verses indicate in broad terms, the time of the second millennium when Christians would be persecuted, but the true Faith would spread out of Europe to the ends of the earth (“the wilderness”), and would be protected by the power of God (“two wings of a great eagle”), until the end (appointed) time (“time times and half a time”).

Revelation 12:15-16
15 “And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth”.
Global
It must be remembered that when the chapters of Revelation come together it is a revelation of the global situation. We are, I believe, in the time of the “short time” (Rev. 6:11”little season”; 12:12 ”short time” and 20:3 “little season”). The Faith has spread to the ends of the earth and the “serpent’’ is at its most vicious for he knows that he has but a short time left (Rev.12:12). The “serpent” is the symbol of that force of evil that drives division through accusation and argumentation between fellow believers. See Rev.12:10 “for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before God day and night”.
Flood
Revelation uses the word “flood” three times in Revelation 12:15-16. Because the time measures of Rev.11:3 and Dan.12:11-12 can now, I believe, be brought together, in the time of serious global floods taking people to their death, it seems that the symbolism used in Rev. 12:15-16 actually relates to the present time and the global argumentation of whether the floods are man-made or a sign of the end time.
Mouth
In my analysis of the “beast coming up out of the sea” and “the beast coming up out of the earth”, the words “mouth” and “speak” in Rev.13:5-6 and 13:15 (through connection to specific times in history) relates to the development of extensive global communication into the twenty-first century. (Readers should refer to my analysis of Revelation, chapter 13 in “How near Armageddon” and on this Forum.)
“Carried away” and “took them all away”
It seems that in Rev.12:15, Revelation is in its symbolism, revealing through the words “carried away” a connection to “took them all away” in Matthew 24:39 “And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away, so shall the coming of the Son of man be.”
My understanding therefore of Revelation 12:15-16 is. These verses relate to the present time when it is globally propagated, that proven by science, that present global floods are solely caused by climate change brought about by man’s actions. (“And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood”).
Revelation
The possibility that the time measures of Revelation and Daniel are coming together, and that floods all over the globe are actually predicted in Matthew 24:39, subtly revealed by the words “carried away” in Rev.12:15, are for numerous reasons, not going to be publically proclaimed in global communication (in the media) in 2025.
Rev.12:16 “And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.”
Science now reveals greater moisture in the air
It is astounding, but it seems that Revelation is actually revealing what science is now showing. Science is now showing that climate change is producing much more moisture in the air and greater rainfall. Science is substantiating greater global rainfall at the present time and time to come. This fact is now reflected in Revelation 12:16: “And the earth... swallowed up the flood that the dragon cast out of his mouth”.
“Earth”
(The word “earth” incorporating the total understanding of the “beast coming up out of the earth”. Man given freedom to develop his full potential in all the sciences, even though it would lead to man being misled by the forces of evil, “dragon”.)
“The earth opened her mouth”
True believers will be aware of the signs of the end time. “The earth opened her mouth”, also reveals a voice from the “wilderness”, (Rev.12:14) heard in the end time (“time times and half a time”), because of the global law of freedom of speech.
Rev.12:17
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Make war
Note the words “make war” used in Rev.12:17. These words are repeated in Rev.11:7 and 19:11.
