Cyclone Gonu
It is not surprising after all that has been said on this website that the 2007 hurricane season should produce a record breaking cyclone in the Indian Ocean. Cyclone Gonu with winds of up to 160 miles per hour and gusts of 195 miles per hour headed northwest through the Indian Ocean toward Oman’s east coast early this week. As it approached the Persian Gulf it forced the evacuation of thousands from an Omani Island, Masira.
It was reported that even with later weaker wind speeds, Gonu would be the strongest cyclone to hit the Arabian Peninsula since record keeping started in 1945.
Global warming
Most people would say that this strong cyclone is proof of the stronger windstorms that we are seeing as the result of global warming. It is the result of global warming but more significant it is a revelation that confirms the time of the end.
Fulfilment of prophecy
I see this windstorm as the fulfilment of the words of Revelation. It has come in the time of the release of the four angels that hold back the four winds of the earth. It is confirmation that we are living in the time of the final ‘short season’ that we cannot measure.
The sixth seal and the sixth trumpet
In the time of the final ‘short season’ we are seeing a continuation of what was revealed in the words of the opening of the sixth seal (Rev 7:1 “I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth”) and the sounding of the sixth trumpet in Revelation Rev 9:15 “Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates”.
The casting of the sixth vial
The great storms of the earth are blowing in the time of the conflict in the area of the Euphrates River (and concerning the Biblical meaning of the Euphrates River). A conflict that at this point is not abating. It seems that the powerful cyclone Gonu is revealing the release of the windstorms.
Rev 16:12 “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates: and the waters thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” I believe that the time of this verse happened in the time of the end of the twentieth century and the very beginning of the twenty–first century. This is a very unusual storm in an area that rarely sees such strong cyclones. It seems we are at the time that the signs are being made known to the peoples of the East.
Another angel ascending from of the east
The words “of the east” (Rev 16:12) and “from the east” (Rev 7:2) are the only verses in which the word “east” appears in Revelation. These positions are of the greatest significance for the word “east” links to the words of Jesus Christ concerning the end time. Mat 2:27 “For as lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west so shall the coming of the Son of man be.”
It seems that the words of Rev 7:2 “And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God” pertains to the time of the last season that we cannot measure. As the other angels of Revelation indicated specific times, this one indicates the final time only known to God (“having the seal of the living God”).
