The word “Armageddon” appears in Revelation 16:16. “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.” The book Revelation is according to Rev 1:1 “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place.” This book from the Father and from the Son was given to John by an angel in the year AD 96.

It is only because persons through the centuries, who have not understood the total construction of Revelation, have thought that the word “Armageddon” means numerous things, that almost anything is believed today.

Revelation is a construction of words and symbols from Scripture that reveal a unique perspective of the history and development of the Christian nations from the time of Christ. The word “Armageddon” has to do with the place Armageddon, in the Middle East. It will have bearing on bringing the Christian nations to a final battle at the end time.

The word “Armageddon” has a literal meaning and a meaning within the context of the total meaning of Revelation. It shows how the happenings of the Middle East will in the end time ultimately involve the ruling of the Christian nations and all the nations of the earth. How accurate the prophecy of Revelation is – we can see today how the situation in the Middle East is already involving the West.

Revelation proven by history

I have shown on this web site how certain verses of Revelation are through an understanding of its time measurement proven by history. Therefore, because Revelation has been proven by history, we can be quite sure that “Armageddon” is going to happen and this makes it a fact. One of the most outstanding examples, showing Revelation’s correlation with history, is Rev 17:12 The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast.

The symbol of the “beast out of the sea” that has “ten horns” in Revelation is to show Christians today how the influence of evil misled Christian leadership in history. (The number “ten” in Revelation is a number indicating totality and implies therefore that all Christian kings would follow the same course.). An “hour” in Revelation is 24 years.

Revelation speaks of a kingdom “not yet received”. It has a literal meaning that these kings were no longer absolute kings. In other words the time before the Christian kings would lose their power. It also means a kingdom after death. Therefore the word “ten kings” has two meanings: They were earthly kings, who were not absolute kings with unlimited power (who have not yet received a kingdom), but they share power. They are also Christians who will wear, or may wear, the “crown” of everlasting life (Rev 2:10 I will give you the crown of life).

Revelation is therefore not condemning, but revealing that there was a the time that certain kings who ruled for about 24 years, were misled, and the authority that ruled with them was also misled. Those that remained faithful to the message of Jesus Christ will receive a heavenly “crown”. Judgement of individual persons only comes at the time of judgement.

At least ten Christian kings in ten different countries of Europe, reigned for about 24 years in conjunction with an elected government, before the kings’ power was finally broken. While Christians were seeking to find a better authority than the kings’ rule, they set in place an authority that would ultimately undermine the message of Jesus Christ and the worshippers would diminish. Rev 11:1 “Count the worshippers there”. This is a fact to day. Many previous Christian nations now use their churches for clubs and cinemas because there are no more Christians who see the need to go to a place of worship.

This is but one example of how the meaning of the words of Revelation, when linked to time measurement in history, reveals how Christian leadership was misled. Therefore if Revelation speaks of “Armageddon” you can be sure “Armageddon” is going to take place and it is NO HOAX. As a matter of fact a think we are actually now moving to the time that Revelation refers to as the gathering of the nations to Armageddon.

Armageddon

Armageddon has to do with the place of the city Megiddo in the Holy Land.

How do I know this?

The words of Revelation seem as if they do not make sense because only single words or two or three words are taken from certain verses in Scripture. The reason for doing this is to reveal an idea or aspect from Scripture.

In order to know what “Armageddon” means in Revelation, we have to go to Scripture and history and see where that word appears and what that word conveys and what happened at that place in history.

Therefore something that happened or is happening at Megiddo is relating to the final war.

“Arma”, that is “har” in Hebrew, means “mountain” or “hill”. (In the entire meaning of Revelation “mountain” has the symbolic meaning of the time of the very end - see Rev 14:1 and 16:20). Because the city, Megiddo, was situated on a hill, it was one of the most strategic cities in the time of the Old Testament. It dominated a main road to Egypt. Because of its strategic location, the plain of Megiddo was a frequent battleground. There Pharaoh Thutmose III defeated a Canaanite coalition in 1486 BC. In 609 BC, Judah’s good king Josiah died in battle against Pharaoh Neco II. The ancient Hebrew theologians could not understand why Neco was triumphant. Why, they wondered had the good been overcome by the wicked.

We today know that Revelation has to do with the history of the Christian nations and the spread of the Christian faith to the ends of the earth. Because I believe it was revealed to me through the Divine intervention that we are at the end time, we have to consider the area of Megiddo in relation to the world today. It is therefore important that in 1917, at Megiddo, the British under general Allenby ended the rule of the Turks in Palestine and it was ultimately the British that agreed to allowing the Jews to return to Palestine in 1947. This was the beginning of an intensification of the conflict between the Jews and the Palestinians - a conflict that has reached tragic proportions since October 2000.

It is even of greater significance that in March to June 2002 that the attention of the entire world has been drawn to the area near Megiddo in the Israeli – Palestinian conflict. It has been the happenings at the Janine refugee camp (that is not so far from Megiddo), and bombings in that area, that coincides with a greater urgency among world leaders to meet and to try and find a solution to the conflict. It is also the time that the nations may be gathering to a greater conflict. If a conflict should develop at this time that the Israeli –Palestinian conflict, has reached the area of Megiddo, it is most likely a gathering to the great battle.

Three evil spirits.

The gathering of the nations is not far-fetched if one takes into account that the “three evil spirits” of Rev 16:12 is brought into relation with Armageddon. The symbolic meaning of the “three evil spirits” and “Armageddon” is vital because they bring almost the entire meaning of Revelation together. As I have explained on this web site, the meaning of “the three frogs” has to do with man’s ability to clone a human being. (Frogs were the first creatures to be cloned in the year 1952-3 and form part of the understanding of “the beast out of the earth” and the number “666”. Rev 13:15 “he was given power to give breath to the image”)

According to press reports, in April 2002 there are three women that are carrying cloned babies at this point in time. These babies are due to be born towards the end of this year. Even biological scientists are shocked. These infants have been cloned despite the warning from scientists that there can be numerous abnormalities including genetic defects. Considering that there have been numerous failings in the cloning of animals. Cloned mice, sheep and other animals that scientists have cloned have died. I believe that in cloning human beings man has invoked the final wrath of God. (Look at the articles on this web site on how I linked cloning to Revelation 13:15 “He was given power to give breath to the image of the beast” and the total message of Revelation.)

I therefore wish to explain the whole section relating to “the three evil spirits” and “Armageddon”.

Rev 16:13-14: Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

“Out of the mouth” has to do with the word “speak” in Revelation 13:16. In the analysis of that verse that forms part of the description and identification of the “the beast out of the earth”, “speak” begins at the time 1906, the year of the development of the triode amplifying valve that would dramatically improve world-wide telecommunication. It means that from about 1906 the entire earth will be under the influence of the propagation of what Revelation symbolically describes as the “dragon”, “the beast” and the “false prophet”. Each of these three symbols has a gigantic meaning. The total influence of these is reaching a zenith in the decision of men to clone a human being in the time after 2000.

The meaning of the symbol of the dragon is to be found in Rev 12:10 “the accuser of our brothers”. This means all the antagonism that has existed between Christians through the ages. It was this antagonism that through the centuries of the second millennium resulted in wars, argument and hatred and drove Christians apart. Revelation brings “the dragon” to bear in the Rev 13:11 concerning the beast out of the earth. It would be particularly through the achievements of man in the twentieth century that Christians would become divided once more. To understand this read the analysis of the beast out of the earth. Division concerning advancement in medicine (abortion on demand), biological science (pill leading to promiscuous living – also genetic modification in plants and animals and cloning), nuclear science (use of nuclear warfare and the nuclear bomb).

The meaning of the “beast” has to do with the falling away of the unity of the Christian church and the Christian kings through the ages. This rule was replaced by the rule of man and the weight of the majority (symbolized in Revelation by the scale carried by the rider on the black horse). The rule of man, that would with the falling away of Christians from their faith bring about an acceptance of an equalization of world religions that would undermine the message of Salvation through Jesus Christ.

The “false prophet” is the symbol that represents all the anti-Christian ideas that were spread through the ages through numerous philosophers and thinkers. All those who deny that Jesus is the Messiah and that Salvation is through the blood of Christ.

In other words the equalization of anti-Christian and non-Christian ideas with Christianity propagated by governments and through the media has become so “loud” that the young people of today cannot discern and understand the importance of the message of Jesus Christ. The acceptance of religious freedom has made Christians lukewarm and ‘easy’ toward the faith. Freedom from a moral code has slowly but surely through the second half of the twentieth century led Christian society away from the Christian code of living.

It seems that the symbolism of Revelation is coming together at this time to save some of the last generation. Revelation says that the living waters have dried up. Christian society has turned its back on the faith, because of corruption within the church and Christian who no longer strive toward the mark or goal of everlasting life through Jesus Christ. They prefer to look at Scripture only when it suits them.

It seems that the undermining of the Christian message will only be tolerated for a certain time. That time is about to run out. Rev 10:6 “There would be time no longer”. Revelation reveals that the last generation is lost – Rev 8:7 All the green grass was burnt up“. Only a remnant will be saved. Therefore the nations will gather to Armageddon - a process that is already in progress.

42 months and 1260 days

We know that these two time measurements of three and a half years relate to the very end time. We know this from the two similar numbers in Daniel 12:11. (Those of Revelation differ from those in Daniel because they relate to the total understanding of Revelation)

The last time measurement in Revelation is also referred to as the “short season”. In the Bible the time that a woman is pregnant is referred to as a “season” - 2 Kings 4:17.
The gestation period of a woman is 280 days, “260 days” is a “short season”. Is this tme measurement an indication that human cloning heralds the coming of the end?
We are experiencing an intensification of flooding after severe rain worldwide. Hail storms have recently been fatal in China and severe in Northern Italy.

If in the following months, the time that man has proceeded to clone, the nations should become involved in a war that begins to look particularly devastating, it is the final battle.

Why will it be Armageddon

1 It will be Armageddon because it was revealed to me that Revelation can be understood through time measurement and that we are near the end time.
2 It will be Armageddon because almost the entire Revelation has played out.
3 The rule of men and the equalization of world religions (“the abomination that causes desolation” - Matthew 24:15) and all the things that Christians regard as more important that their faith (Rev 9:20 – 21) has made Christian turn their back on their faith and the churches are empty. The abomination is standing in the holy place.
4 We have reached the point in time that the women of Jerusalem are crying for their children. We cannot at the present time disregard the words of Jesus Christ to the women of Jerusalem in Luke 23:30. It is of the greatest significance that the words ”mountains fall on us” in Revelation 6:16, that indicates the time that man will realize that the wrath of God is upon him, comes from Luke 23:30. One thing that we know for sure is that when the women of Jerusalem are crying for their children, it will be the time of realization that the Second Coming is at hand (Rev 6:16). We also know from Scripture that when the armies of the world gather for battle around Jerusalem (Luke 21:20) it is the beginning of the end time.
5 Note Revelation 13:15 “He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.” The gradual influence (power) of evil (he – the beast out of the earth) would make man believe that he has the freedom (image of the statue of liberty that was completed in 1886 – part of the time measurement of Revelation of 666 years) to clone a human being (give breath). At present the world media propagates (speak) world freedom. Instead of using his freedom wisely man has become lawless and lawlessness is increasing globally. This false freedom of the West to abandon faith and morality will ultimately take the nations to the final battle.
6 According to my understanding of Revelation all the symbols of Revelation will come together at the end time. Therefore at this time of the gathering of the nations to Armageddon and the decline of the world economy (the fall of Babylon, the great city) we cannot ignore the fact that something is going to cause an earthquake greater than man has known since he has been on earth. (Rev 16:18)

Global warming is leading to the melting of the ice in Antarctica and the glaciers of the Arctic region are melting. Here we cannot disregard the word “voice” that appears in Revelation. Rev 3:20 “If any man hear my voice, and opens the door, I will come in.” Rev. 1:12 “I turned to see the voice” and Rev 16:17-18 The seventh angel poured out his bowl on the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice “It is done“. Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake has occurred since man has been on earth. The word “voice” in these verses relate to the voice of God, therefore the intervention of God. If we go to Scripture we shall see that the “voice” of God relates to the state of the earth. Ps 46:6 He lifts his voice, the earth melts. We know today that the warming of the air of the earth is causing climate change. We know that the particles in the air that cause a haze in southeast Asia is contributing to weather change. Also the melting of the ice in the Polar Regions can effect the weather. We can see more extreme weather conditions taking place. What we do not know is that the settling of the ice at the poles brought about the end of the ice age and the establishment of the seasons, as we know them. If the ice is now melting what is going to be the ultimate effect on the earth? Why is the earth expanding at the equator? Can the melting of the ice in the Polar Regions effect the axis of the earth or the speed of its rotation? Is climate change going to bring about very large hailstones? Is global warming ultimately going to be the cause of the “great earthquake”?

We therefore at this time have to look at all the facts of history and the facts of contemporary politics and science. This is the great gift of Revelation. For those that see the increasing lawlessness of the world can know that the Trinity will take care of the last remnant of Christians until the very end. Those who take the time to study Revelation and those who can see the flaws in society will know that God will only tolerate the sins of man up to a certain point in time. There comes a time for the rewarding of the “servants and the prophets” (Rev 11:18)

Those who bear the mark of the beast have been misled into thinking that there is no longer a God in control. They cannot understand the correlation of Revelation through Scripture with history and the present time. They have chosen freedom and have given up living a life according to a religious and moral code in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Those who have the mark of the beast on the right hand and their forehead no longer strive to everlasting life.

When one realizes that Revelation is the history of the Christian nations, then all the words of Revelation have a new meaning. Rev 21:5 I am making everything new. Revelation is an inspiration for those under the “new” covenant at the end time.

It is time for all within the Christian church and those Christians outside, to wash their garments. The signs of the end are obviously near.
