Rev 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent.
This is a most amazing verse in the total understanding of Revelation. It is only now that I understand the full significance.
It seems that “stone about the weight of a talent” confirms what is said about the “beast out of the earth” in Revelation.
Revelation 15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
Rev. 16:21 (above) is the first half of the last verse of the chapter dealing with the seven vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
Therefore “great hail” is one of the last signs before the end.

Readers may have read in the press of the large hailstones that were found in Spain. In South Africa reports were published at the end of September 2002. It was reported from Madrid, Spain, that large ice meteorites are the result of global warming. They fall out of clear blue skies. It is possible that these large ‘hailstones’ could badly damage houses and cars in future.
This was the preliminary finding of the Spanish scientist, Jesus Martinez-Frias, who has for the last thirty months made a study of the phenomenon, mega – cryometeorites, that usually weigh more than 10 kilograms.
Martinez-Friaz, director of planet geography at the Spanish centre for astrobiology, says that he fears that large ice blocks that fall out of a clear sky are a worrisome symptom of a changing climate. The isotopic composition of the ice blocks is the same as good old Iberian rain. A Spanish farmer found the first mega – cryo - metereorite this year. The block weighed 16kg.
Another three blocks were found later and it is estimated that in the last ten years, more than fifty such blocks have landed on the earth.
Martinez-Frias has the theory that the core of the ice cloud that forms very high in the sky behind the rear of jet planes, remains in the air for a longer time as a result of global warming. The warming of the earth causes one layer of the atmosphere to get warmer and one layer to get colder. As a result of the air streams the ice blocks remain in the air and move up and down between the layers of the atmosphere and get bigger. Until at some point they are so heavy that gravity gets the upper hand and they drop to the earth.
We must take into account the analysis of the “beast out of the earth” in order to fully appreciate the meaning of the mega - cryometeorites.
The beast out of the earth is firstly understood by going to Job 28:2 -3
Iron is taken out of the earth, and brass is molten out of the stone. He sets an end to darkness, and stretches out (read: to the utmost bound) all perfection: the stones of darkness and the shadow of death.
Note the words “out of the earth”, these are the same words used in Revelation in connection with “the beast out of the earth”.
Therefore because Revelation uses the words “out of the earth” we may go to Scripture and to Job to see what is said there in connection with “out of the earth”. In other words “the beast out of the earth” has to do with the endeavours of men to search the earth for wealth, but also to answer scientific questions that he cannot explain and to make discoveries such as artificial light (he sets an end to darkness). In the time of Job it was the torch or the lamp, but in the twentieth century it is electricity. Man will search until he has found all scientific answers. He will seek perfection and he will try to answer all questions pertaining to what he does not understand and how to make the earth a better place (to the utmost bound all perfection).

In the analysis of the “beast out of the earth” certain discoveries in the time 1266 to 1932 are linked to the words of Rev 13:13-18. It seems that at certain times God intervened that man would make certain discoveries and accomplish certain scientific achievements.
A while back I thought that Rev 16:21 “And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent.” might relate to space debris that was falling to earth at the time of more severe storms as a result of global warming. The explanation given at the beginning of this discussion on the formation of mega - cryometeorites that form in the air behind jet aircraft seem to substantiate the meaning of the beast out of the earth.
It is believed that mega - cryometeorites have been forming for the last ten years. That would fit into the time measurements of Revelation. It seems that Almighty God has always known at what time certain discoveries would be given to man. He knew that man would make an aircraft in which he could fly, but he also knows the nature of man. Man would want to go faster and faster (remember Job 28:2-3 “and stretches out (read: to the utmost bound) all perfection”) and would develop the jet plane. In that time global warming would take on new proportions (in the last ten years global warming seems to have increased) and the combination of these two factors would produce mega – cryometeriorites - “great hail out of heaven, every stone the weight of a talent”.
