Dr Janson, I have recently learned that in the late 1960's there was considerable excitement in Christian circles because of a Biblical prophecy that the end of the age would come within one generation of the refounding of the state of Israel. Because the length of a generation was taken to be the conventional 20 years, it was thought that we would reach the End in the late sixties. But with your calculation that a generation is 72 years in length, we now have a different perspective on this prophecy, if the prophecy is indeed valid biblically.
Do you know of this prophecy? I have not been able to find it.
