The sounding of the sixth trumpet
In recent posts I have referred to a number of verses of the sounding of the sixth trumpet. We can now know why the sounding of the sixth trumpet comprises various sections. The reason for this is because we have reached the time 2020. The message of Revelation is coming together.
As I have said before, it is essential to have the book Revelation at hand to see how through the repetition of words Revelation brings its entire message together.
The first section of the sounding of the sixth trumpet.
Revelation 9:13-21 King James Version (KJV)
Rev 9:13 “And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
Voice
The word “voice” in Revelation reveals that this verse has to do with a specific time measure in Revelation.
Through the repetition of the word “altar” (also used in Rev 8:3) the time of the sounding of the sixth trumpet is relative to the time of “half an hour”, that is 2008 to 2020 (Rev 8:1-4).
Prepared
Rev 9:14 “Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.”
Four angels
The “four angels” relate back to Rev 7:1-3 and the time that large category 5 hurricanes and typhoons started blowing in the four corners of the earth at the beginning of the twenty first century, and since then. It was also the time of war in the area around the Euphrates River.
It seems therefore that the sixth angel prepared to sound at the time of the beginning of the twenty-first century. I have shown in recent posts how the time of “an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year” can be measured in 2020. However, in this verse Revelation is indicating the coming final battle, that is relative to these time measures in the time to come.
Third part
The following verses relate to the battles fought in the preparation to the final battle.
Rev 9:16 “And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.”
(The word “number” in Revelation can relate to time (this is known from Rev 13:18); therefore the “two hundred” can relate to the two hundred days of the “one thousand, two hundred and threescore days” (Rev.11:3) but this has not yet been revealed. The “thousand thousand” can relate to the beginning of the second millennium when category 5 windstorms started becoming more frequent.)
Wars concerning the ruling of the nations.
Through the imagery of the “horses” Revelation reveals that the wars in the gathering to Armageddon are going to involve issues concerning the ruling of nations. You will recall that the horses of the apocalypse signified the transition from the rule of kings to secular rule.
Smoke and brimstone
Rev 9:17 “And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.”
Breastplates
The image of the breastplate is used here, because the wars are no longer with faith as motive, but the secular rule of nations where the combatants rely on their weaponry. In the Bible the High Priest wore a breastplate denoting communication with God.
The words “fire and brimstone” relate to the final war. (See also Rev.19:20). In chapters to come Revelation is going to reveal events on earth, and insight into heaven, in order to substantiate the factors that lead up to the final war.
Rev 9:18 “By these three was the third
part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.”
Third part of men
“Third part” incorporates the third part of the great city (see Rev 16:19), the area of the Euphrates River, that is a third part of the globe; and the “third part” relating to the time measure of the “half an hour” 2008 to 2020 (Rev 8:7-12). Also, the third part of the final measure of “one thousand, two hundred and threescore days”. The sixth angel therefore sounds from the time c2000 to the very end time.
The mouth, tails, and heads of the horses
Rev 9:19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.”
The word “mouth” in Revelation relates to the power of global communication up to the “forty and two months” (see Rev 13:6). The word “tails” relates to “tail” in Rev 12:4. “’And his tail (of the red dragon) drew the third part of the stars to the earth.” Up to the time of the “half hour” the influence of Satan would make the inhabitants of the earth no longer look at the stars in a Biblical sense, but scientifically as astronomical objects of the universe.
“with them they do hurt”
Through the repetition of the words “hurt” Revelation reveals much. See Rev.9:4 and 10.
Revelation reveals a time of plague in the time from 2000
Rev 9:20 “And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
The second woe
We can now place a time on the period of the second woe. The sixth angel prepares in the time since c2000, through the time relating to the word “altar”, the “half an hour” 2008-2020, through the time of plagues and up to the time of the final battle. This section reveals a time of much war in the area of the Euphrates River.
